This subject is to applythe WATOS fiber to research and develop knitting product thus to to meet the growingdemand for health textiles.this subject chosen18.4tex WATOS fiber blended yarn which blend with50%WATOS polyester-based fiber and50%cotton fiber, the research object is developedby Nande Science&Technology Co., Ltd in Shanghai. Beginning with the basicperformance of WATOS fiber and its blended yarn,this paper researched and analyzedmorphology, composition, mechanical properties of WATOS fiber and mechanicalproperties, uniformity of fineness, twist, moisture content, hairiness, acid resistanceand alkali resistance of WATOS yarn.Based on the understanding of WATOS fiber and its blended yarn, stitch andknitting process of WATOS fiber knitted fabric were designed. Six kinds of knittingproducts were developed through knitting on STOLL CMS530HP computer fullyautomatic flat knitting machine.And the fabric density, thickness, grammage andshrinkage are tested.In order to facilitate bleaching and dying process go smoothly, we scoured theWATOS fiber, the process is: NaOH1g/L, penetrating agent JFC8g/L,80℃,40min,liquor ratio1:20. After scouring, using2g/L acetic acid neutralize10min in80℃, thenwash and dry. After this process, the whiteness of the knitted fabric is increased, andbursting strength is down slightly.Using hydrogen peroxide as the bleaching agent to research and analyze thebleaching property of watos fiber knitted fabric. With whiteness and bursting strengthas evaluation index, utilizing the single factor analytic method to analyze the quantityof hydrogen peroxide, temperature, time and pH value. Then with orthogonal analyticmethod to determine the optimal process for hydrogen peroxide bleaching: thequantity of hydrogen peroxide20mL/L, sodium carbonate3g/L,scouring agent2g/L, temperature90℃, pH value11, time70min, liquor ratio1:20.Choosing disperse dyes and the reactive dyes to dye watos fiber,Withdye-uptake and K/S value as evaluation index, utilizing the single factor analyticmethod to analyze the temperature, time and pH value. Then with orthogonal analyticmethod to determine the optimal process for dyeing: Disperse blue2BLN dyes0.6%(o.w.f), dispersing agent NNO is1g/L,temperature135℃,40min, pH value5.5,liquor ratio1:30. And then use the reactive dyes to dye cotton fibers,it is idyed bypre-alkaline dyeing method. Through several experiments we learned that when thequantity of reactive turquoise blue KN-G dyes was8%(o.w.f), the color deviationbetween the watos fiber and cotton fiber is small and the color is the same from visualjudgment. the optimal process for dyeing: reactive turquoise blue KN-G8%(o.w.f),sodium sulfate is28g/L,Na2CO3is10g/L,dye temperature is60℃,dye time is30min，fixation temperature is70℃；fixation time is30min.And, color fastness testingresults suggest that the fastness to washing, perspiration and crocking all meet thequality requirement of knitted fabric well.The durability, heat-moisture comfort, rigidity-flexibility, dimensional stabilityand functional property were tested, specifically includes bursting strength, airpermeability, moisture permeability, heat retention, absorbency, rigidity-flexibilityanti-pilling tendency, wrinkle resistance, draping property, and antibacterial property.The results show that all the properties of watos fiber knitted fabrics meet thewearability requirements of knitted fabric well and antibacterial property have alsoreached the standard of health apparel, which is suitable for developing health knittingclothing.The fuzzy mathematics comprehensive judgement was used to evaluate thewearability of above six watos knitted fabric, and finally we received the wearabilitythat best fitted to spring and summer.
