In recent years, the rapid development of China’s processing industry, with thepopularity of CNC machine tools, processing means are also growing, processingefficiency is also greatly improved in the past it seems difficult to machine partsmachining operations through CNC programming becomes easy for them. In mycompany, the M48and larger thread size can only use tap tapping conventionalapproach to processing, the processing efficiency is low, the operator skillrequirements, and is easy to occur in the process of tapping threaded case level,resulting in Parts waste. The use of thread milling CNC programming can be a goodway to solve this problem. Using the thread cutter helical interpolation walking trackto achieve thread processing, high precision, good surface roughness. For varioussizes of thread cutting its programming process is similar when machining differentspecifications thread when the program needs to be modified if there is a dedicatedman-machine interface, can be performed using only selected parameter processing,you can greatly reduce the programming burden, improve work efficiency theoperator skills requirements are greatly reduced.Siemens840D CNC system is an open CNC system, with good secondarydevelopment, the current standard for the CNC machine interface HMI-Advancesecondary development, there are three main ways: First, the user using the systemprocedure interface, Siemens offers an OEM development kit based on the useNotepad to write code, design interface; Second, Siemens provides HMI programmingpackage (HMI programming package), by means of VB, VC++programming; threeis the direct use of Siemens company provides professional configuration softwareWinCC Flexible. These three development methods have their own characteristics,each open approach to achieve the function of its different functions can be based ondevelopment of the interface need to choose a different development methods.In this paper, the use of WinCC Flexible Siemens840D CNC system softwarestandard HMI-Advance human-machine interface for embedded development toachieve a specific thread milling machine interface, convenient for workers in theprocessing of different types and sizes of threaded operation. This paper proposes aSiemens840D CNC system for secondary development interface to achieve a methoddeveloped by using a dedicated software WinCC Flexible and the corresponding plug-in, such as the NC machine data parameters, PLC parameter read and write, thecustom interface and840D standard interface seamlessly link and interfacecustomization with the success of the thread processing technology combined with thedepth, the development of a dedicated interface for easy operation.
