Nowadays, the market competition is very furious.In order to enhance the ability of competition every corporation is trying to improve the automatization level of their equipments, so that the production efficiency can be improved following that. Numerical control machine is a kind of automated machine which has been developed under this environment and was operated by numerical control device.It was known that domestic technology of numerical control started later, and introducing foreign numerical control device need lots of money , so it has become a preferred and effective approach to redevelop for some special machine using existing and ripe NC system or to rebuild old equipments under thecondition of limited fund.This subject has researched in-depth the configuration and capability of the SINUMERIK840D, and realized automatic machining of various non-circular curve in M84125 roll grinder with the Redevelopment software OEM provided by SINUMERIK840D. The main research of this paper is as follows:(1) The calculation method research of interpolation node in NC machining. The calculation of node's coordinate is key to write NC programe. In this subject, we have given two methods for calculating node's coordinate and writing NC programe: equal parameter increment method and equal chord method;(2) Parametric Programming method research of non-circular curve. Parametric Programming is the combination of Manual Programming and Automatic Programming .It has the characteristic of advanced language and can realize subroutine call, programe loop and jumping. In this subject, we have written parametric programe of roller curve using R parameter of SINUMERIK840D,and realized the machining of special roller curve. It has shown that this method can avoid repeating programming, improve the machining efficiency consumedly;(3) We have developed machining interface of roller curve under Visual Basic environmen.Besides we have realized the data transmission between HMI and NC and system inner communication with the Variable service, Domain Service and PI Service offered by NCDDE server of the 840D, moreover, we have built the HMI network connections.
