Coal mine production safety has been the focus of the work of governments, security technology advances for coal mine production safety has a very good role in promoting. The Internet of Things combines multiple disciplines of communication, computer science, sensors, etc., it is one of the recent momentum of rapid development of new technologies. It is in transportation, security monitoring, industrial control and other fields have been widely used. However, the existing coal mine safety monitoring system is more to monitor the underground environment parameters and mechanical equipment operating parameters. Due to the special underground mine environment, physiological indexes to monitor underground personnel also has great significance.This paper is designed based on ZigBee technology for underground workers physiological indexes monitoring system. The ground part is embedded platform with S3C2440A core. Underground part is the core of this paper, the use of ZigBee wireless sensor network technology to build complete physiological indicators data collection and transmission.Firstly, the overall design of the monitoring system for underground personnel physiological indexes, describes the composition and working principle of the monitoring system and choose the software and hardware platform monitoring system. Then the system is divided into two parts:data communication module and embedded platform. Data communication module, based in JN5139, we use sensor nodes collect blood pressure, heart rate, respiration and other data. Through the wireless network to send data to the router nodes and the coordinator node, the coordinator node sends data via a serial cable to the embedded platform for data processing. Through the analysis of the underground environment and ZigBee topology, the monitoring system with topological structure of a cluster network; embedded platform, introduces the development of embedded platform of the implementation process.Finally, the data acquisition was tested. Then we describe the deficiencies and can improvements of the system.
