Coal is an important basic energy of our country. In recent years, with the constantexpansion of coal mining, the increase in the intensity of the work, so that the risk ofunderground mining coefficient remains high, mineaccidents have occurred from time to time.If we can grasp the real-time dynamic distribution information of the underground personnel,to prevent sudden accidents and implement post-disaster relief have significant meaning.Therefore, research a reliable underground personnel positioning and monitoring system isvery important.In this paper, on the basis of the in-depth research of the ZigBee wireless networkcommunication technology, analyzes the technical specifications and features, profoundcomparison with the existing underground communication technology, come to the feasibilityand advantages of underground personnel monitoring system using ZigBee technology.Through in-depth analysis of ZigBee wireless network positioning technology and profoundcomparison on the various types of main positioning algorithm, proposed to TICC2430/CC2431chip as the core of monitoring system, using RSSI algorithm for locationcalculation, design of underground personnel monitoring system based on ZigBee. The paperelaborates the overall system architecture and positioning monitoring principle. Through theIAR Embedded Workbench development platform and ZigBee2006standard wireless locatingapplication Profile, respectively design hardware circuit, software program and relatedprocess, for the gateway nodeļ¼Œreference node and locate node in the monitoring system. Tobuild, debug and configure system, tested in the PC monitoring software Z-Location, locationof the node to realize real-time monitoring display.System through a lot of experiments, got ideal monitoring results, to prove thefeasibility of the design; high positioning accuracy, can meet the requirements of research, hascertain theory value and application value.
