Humanity creates tremendous and brilliant material achievements of today through theevolvement of primitive civilization, agricultural civilization and industrial civilization, whichmeanwhile has endangered the survival and development of ourselves. The increasinglysevere environmental problems spark mankind’s profound reflection on the development ofindustrial civilization. To face with resource constraint, environmental pollution andecosystem degradation, the Party and State attaches great importance to the construction ofecological civilization, and adopts a series of environmental protection measures. The CPC atthe17th National Congress established the concept of socialistic ecological civilization.Report to the eighteenth NCCPC has firstly discussed the ecological civilization in oneindividual article,”give high priority to making ecological progress and incorporate it into allaspects and the whole process of advancing economic, political, cultural, and Social progress,work hard to build a beautiful country, and achieve lasting and sustainable development of theChinese nation”. For the first time "Beautiful China" is considered as a grand goal of buildingthe future of ecological civilization.The construction of ecological civilization is placed in the“five-in-one” aspect(the approach to promote economic, political, cultural, social andecological progress), indicating CPC’s deepen understanding of overall layout of socialismwith Chinese characteristics, highlighting Chinese nation’s spirit of responsibility for thedescendants and the world.This thesis is selected on the basis of combining the study and implementing the spirit of18thNCCPC. The thesis discusses the theoratical basis for China’s ecological civilizationconstruction and puts forward countermeasures accordingly through documentary study andsocial research, combining the actual situation.The paper is divided into four parts: The firstpart, introduction, this study describes the purpose, significance, introduces the domestic andforeign research status of content and methods. The second part, construction of ecologicalcivilization overview. First defines the concept of ecological construction, outlining thesignificance of ecological civilization construction connotation, characteristics and ecologicalcivilization construction, providing a theoretical basis for the construction of ecologicalcivilization China. Part three, part four follows the route of question-asking, analysis,problem-solving, elaborating the status quo of China’s ecological civilization construction andproblems. Analyzing the reason of problems arise in the ecological civilization construction,seeking the route for China’s ecological civilization construction through economics,ideological education and international exchanges and cooperation.
