Sustainable development is an economic growth model that emphasizes onlong-term development. Originating from industry’s severely negative impact onecological environment, sustainable development refers to meeting the needs ofcontemporary people without impeding future generations’ ability to satisfy theirrequirements. EIP is a new pattern of Industrial Park which is precisely in response tothe requirement of sustainable development and based on recycling economy theoryand industrial ecology principle. Throughout the construction and managementprocess of EIP system, the coordinated development state of EIP’s foursubsystems-economy, resources, environment and society directly influences EIP’ssustainable development level. Excessive pressure on resources and environment isnot conducive to EIP’s sustainable development. Thus it is necessary to establish a setof evaluation index system to evaluate the coordinated development state of EIP’sfour subsystems scientifically and accurately, and then based on the evaluation results,to analyze the effect of the driving factors which bring about pressure on resourcesand environment. This is the starting point to solve the problem. This paper firstly analyzes the theoretical foundation of EIP’s sustainabledevelopment from the perspectives of industrial ecology, enterprise symbiosis theory, theory of circular economy, ecology and economy coordinated development theoryand resources and environment carrying capacity theory, and then establishes EIP’sCoordination and Development Level (CDL) evaluation model and StructuralDecomposition Analysis (SDA) model, and taking DETDZ-EIP as an Example, evaluates CDL of DETDZ-EIP dynamically by using CDL evaluation model andanalyzes the driving factors effects of resources and environment pressure inDETDZ-EIP dynamically and quantitatively by adopting SDA model from2001to2010.According to the analysis on the typical EIP——DETDZ-EIP, inspirations canbe drawn as below:1. Effect of land factor on resources and environment pressure of EIP is positive, relatively small and stable, and gradually decreases with the development of EIP’seconomy. It shows that land development is no longer the main factor which leads to resources and environment pressure of economically-developed EIP.2. Effect of economy factor on resources and environment pressure of EIP is alsopositive, increases year by year and exceeds the effect of land factor in the future, becoming the main driving factor which results in resources and environment pressure. It demonstrates that typical EIP’s economic growth pattern, to some extent, isextensive and does harm to resources and environment during its rapideconomic-growth period.3. Effect of technology factor on resources and environment pressure of EIP isnegative, relatively large and stable, but with it becoming larger and larger, positiveeffect of economy factor cannot be offset by negative effect of technology factor, indicating that at a certain stage of its economic development, EIP will encounterbottlenecks of technical innovation in energy conservation and pollution reductionand cannot further reduce its resources and environment pressure.
