Oil shale, a very important form of energy, just like solar energy, wind energy,nuclear energy, has attracted more and more attention of the government.Technologies, equipments, systems and projects of R&D productions are encouragedand supported by China national government, local governments, industrydepartments and other related enterprises. Among these productions,3Ddemonstration software of oil shale production is widely used in the domain ofdemonstration, display, training and education. So the study of this technology hasvery important significance in theory and practical research.With the actual need of the oil shale company, this paper design the softwarearchitecture and the main functional modules of the3D demonstration, which is basedon the study of the production processes, the technologies, the equipments and thesystems. Several aspects of work have been done and they are mentioned as follows.1. Using theories and methods of the software engineering, the developmentplatform of3D demonstration software is selected.2. On basis of planning data structure and the structure of the model librarylegitimately, the model of the process which is related to the production of the oilshale production has been completed by using Rhino, which is a kind ofprofessional3D modeling and3D design tool.3. In order to design the main module of3D demonstration software, databasetechnology,3D graphics technology, human-computer engineering technology,object-oriented design methodology are integrated in this paper.4. Combining the functional testing, the performance testing and the initialimplementation, this designed system can meet the actual needs, as well asimproving the effect of demonstrating, display, training, educating effectively.
