In view of water breakthrough and sand production in the oil field, we develop the watershut-off and sand control integration technology. This technology will let water shut-off andsand control be completed in one job implementation. In this way, the production cost will becut and workload will be reduced. This paper mainly uses the chemical methods to develop anew type of water shut-off and sand control material. And during the experiment, by changingthe processes and basic material, we develop a new type of material for increasing thepermeability. According to the comparison with other fellows, we can see its superiorperformance.In this paper, we choose the main type and the auxiliary materials for water shut-off andsand control, and then we set the range of particle size of the materials. To study theconsolidation characteristics,we set a number of experimental groups to study the penetrationand compressive strength. In this experiment, consolidation bodies of this material withauxiliary materials are made at different time and different temperatures. Then we measuredtheir permeability and compressive strength after a certain time interval,and ultimately madetable analysis to study its regularity. Through the experiment we measured the initial settingtime of consolidation. The results show that the compressive strength rises while the initialsetting time of consolidation shortened as auxiliary materials put in. The permeability changesregularly. Then we compare this special auxiliary material with the common auxiliarymaterial, and find that the chosen auxiliary material has stronger advantages in water shut-offintegration and sand control.Second, by adding four additives as sand carrying agent separately into the inorganicagglutination materials, cementing at the different temperatures, comparing the differentpermeability, compressive strength, the time of cementation, and the impact of materials’ fluidity, we choose the self-made naphthalene derivatives as the final sand carrying agent andfind the amount of the additives. Experiments demonstrate it is the best for it can not onlysignificantly improve the penetration rate of main materials and improve the compressivestrength, but also can significantly shorten the time of cementation. In addition, it can also cutthe cost and significantly increase the economic efficiency.Moreover, the experiments of anti-aging and wettability are made. The results show thatthis water shut-off and sand control materials can cement at the room temperature to80℃,and it form a artificial rock which has high compressive strength and permeability whichcan be adjusted. This artificial rock can cement together with the original formation. Thisartificial rock has a lot of advantages like a certain penetration rate, anti-aging, cementation,and adjustable short time and so on.
