In the context of the degree of poor quality of the world’s oil resources increasing, theproportion of high-sulfur crude oil in China’s crude oil imports raised; and the proportion ofhigh-sulfur crude oil in china’s oil also increased, that makes high-sulfur crude oil processingsector increasing in China’s crude oil refining sector, and how to adapt to the high-sulfurcrude oil processing has become the main task of China’s oil refining industry. Increase ofsulfur content has increasingly become the main threat of the process safety in the high-sulfurcrude oil processing, therefore, exploring the sulfide migration and transformation inhigh-sulfur crude oil processing becomes the basis for protecting the high-sulfur crude oilprocessing security. G Company as the research object, was analyzed its sulfide conversion inhigh-sulfur crude oil processing, and its risks control recommendations caused by sulfidebased on sulfide distribution. The main work is as follows:Ⅰ.Analyzing the sulfide migration and transformation of A typical high-sulfur crude oilrefinery(1) based on the research result on China’s CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC three major oilcompanies in crude oil refining, refining process, selecting the G Company as the typicalhigh-sulfur crude oil processing refinery as the research subjects;(2) using elemental analysis and gas chromatography (GC) analysis the liquid oil sampleform G Company, Whole plant material balance for the basic idea, analyzing the sulfurmigration and distribution in the whole plant process units, and descript it by the form of the"figure&table";(3)Analyzing sulfide type transformation of typical device, and draw typical devicesulfide distribution map.Ⅱ.Sulfur migration distribution forecast of the typical deviceSelecting the hydrotreating unit, fluid catalytic cracking unit, delayed coking unit, andanalyzing the relationship of sulfur distribution proportion with the factors associated withsulfur migration, and preparating the software using VB language for predicting sulfurmigration and distribution.Ⅲ.Analyzing hydrogen sulfide formation mechanism and distribution in high-sulfurcrude oil processingHydrogen sulfide is a major presence of sulfide in the high-sulfur crude oil processing. Based on sulfur type analysis data in light distillate oil, combined sulfide chemical reactionmechanism to explore hydrogen sulfide formation mechanism and analyzing the presence ofhydrogen sulphide in the main processing unit area, combined with plan draw the typicaldevice hydrogen sulfide distribution maps.Ⅳ. Study on the risk control measuresThe risk caused by sulfur in sour crude processing mainly: Abundance of H2S could leadto the risk of H2S poisoning; the active sulfide easy to react with the metal in equipment,especially ferrous sulfide (FeS), ferrous sulfide (FeS) coule cause spontaneous combustion;various corrosive environments caused by high temperature and other conditions could lead toequipment corrosion leaks. According to the distribution of the sulfide type and accidentreasons, putting forward the corresponding control measures in terms of technology,equipment, personnel, and management.
