At present,the society where we are live in is an era of knowledgeexplosion.Knowledge has been used as a factor of production to production.It isessential that how to reduce costs and improve the design quality of products as muchas possible in such an era that information technology develops rapidly.The process ofuniform design is an activity that based on the knowledge of designers,comprehensiveconsidering the factor such as environmental, human, material and so on.Through thesurvey,It is the science and technology to be solved that how to express knowledgequickly and effectively?how to comprehensive and integrated multidisciplinary,multi-disciplinary knowledge?How to use knowledge to help designers to design ateach stage?how to increase utilization of uniform design through the already acquiredknowledge?In summary,it is necessary to propose the study on the method of the knowledgeexpression and acquisition about uniform design.It makes the scattered designknowledge be refined and organized.In the end,it can make an effective knowledgemanagement system.So,Through the effective use of knowledge,can not only shortenthe production cycle, but also improve the success rate of design, reduce costs, andultimately improve the competitiveness of the enterprises.This paper Combining our school’s research on uniform knowledgemanagement,the aim of this paper is solving the problem of the knowledge expressionand acquisition about uniform design,This study is mainly launched from thefollowing five points:(1)The Investigation of the uniform design’s present situation.Through the studyof the research of enterprise and experienced designers,We understand the mainproblems which exist in the current uniform design.Clearing the research purpose andsignificance of this paper.(2)Analysize the theoretical basis of the technology involved in thispaper.Mainly introduced some relevant theoretical techniques such as knowledgeclassification, knowledge acquisition, knowledge expression,the method of case basedesign and so on.Providing theoretical support for the research of this paper. (3)The knowledge expression and acquisition about uniform design case baseon design.Mainly analyzes the characteristics of knowledge about uniforndesign.According to the classified method of multidimensional and gradation classifiethe design knowledge. Using the interview method to acquire the uniform designknowledge.Analyzes the feasibility of the case based design method use in theuniform design.Proposing the expression of uniform design knowledge on case baseddesign method.(4)The construction of hierarchical case database.Build a hierarchical databaseon the basis of the expression of knowledge which provides methods for KnowledgeStorage.This paper combine the characteristics of design knowledge and Similarityalgorithm on the aspect of uniform knowledge retrieve,proposing the algorithm whichis suitable for uniform knowledge retrieve. the algorithm makes the retrieve moreaccurately and effectively.(5)Study on the method of knowledge expression and acquisition.Theknowledge of uniform design system is built on the knowledge’sinstantiation.Through the knowledge input and the instance problem solving,thisstudy provide the technological base for the method of uniform design case base ondesign.This paper is aimed at the filed of uniform design knowledge for the expressionand acquisition.Combining the thought of Case Based Design,we build theknowledge management system,The key of the case based design is how to acquireand express the knowledge,This paper make a foundation for the case based design inuniform design.Shorting the design cycle and improving the reuse of knowledge.
