Along with the science and technology development of our country and theworld in recent years, modern production line of walking beam furnace of steelrolling control of modern enterprise is going to continuity, high speed, highprecision, large scale and development in the direction of higher and higherdemands. In the production of steel rolling, walking beam furnace in steelrolling process occupies most of the energy consumption, and one of the mostimportant parameter is the temperature of the furnace in the production of steel,because of the precision of temperature effect on the quality of steel quality.This paper completed the overall system hardware design, and designed themonitoring control system, and set up a test platform with the temperaturedetection module and Siemens PLC S7-300, Moreover, the communicationnetwork is built using PROFIBUS DP network and software program based onSTEP7. Through the SIMATIC WINCC software designing the monitoringinterface, the precision and speed of the heating temperature are mainly analyzed.Based on the simulations on the walking beam furnace’s work environment inthe lab, the effect of the control system is verified, so walking beam furnacecontrol system solutions is finally determineds.Finally, through the above analysis, the paper proposed the system designscheme. After debugging and testing, the final plan can make the control systemmeet the design requirements, and implement real-time monitoring. From theperspective of the running situation of the experiment, the system can meet thedesign requirements.
