The three-stage cyclone separator is an important equipment in FCC Units, is thelast defence to protect the flue gas expender from wear and tear by the catalyst. Thethree-stage cyclone separator in Dagang petrochemical company equipment FCC Unitsadopted the PST cyclone, it existed wear and tear in the cyclone pipe and encrust inthe mouth of pipe. It influenced separate efficiency seriously, cause blades abrasivewear in the flue gas expender, influenced the long term safe run of the unit.The three-stage cyclone separator used the BSX-type three-stage cyclone separatorafter march,2010. Through the examing during repair of2011and2012years, the result showed that the device was operating normally.Four process calibration before and after the reconstruction showed that export particle concentration is in200mg/m3for PST type and100mg/m3for BSX type. When there are abnormal fluctuations run agent,export particle concentration for BSX type can keep in150mg/m3. That showed that BSX type there was large elasticity operation.The export gas catalyst particle size analys is showed that large diameter catalystratio in PST type is higher,small diameter catalyst ratio is low. It is contrary in BSX type. It showed that BSX type there are high separation efficiency on large diameter catalyst and reduce the catalyst running. More important is to reduce the fulegas expander scaling and promote the device running smoothly.But the BSX-type three-stage cyclone separator exist hardly vibrate to solve.
