With the rapid development of economy, people spending habits and lifestyle changes, thedevelopment of the non-material cultural heritage faces more and more challenge and shock bythe changing time. The traditional handicraft Gongdong silk produced in the Pearl River Deltaregion is no exception. In the face of threats, how to better protect and inherit the Guangdongsilk and the dyeing and finishing process, determine the development direction of Guangdongsilk industry, and better develop and innovate in the new era is especially important.First of all, through the literature research method, the paper combed the previous researchof Guangdong silk and its processing technology, introduced the basic situation of Guangdongsilk, and summarized function and value of Guangdong silk. Secondly, through the fieldinvestigation, the author visited Guangdong silk factories, silk dealers and fashion designers. Theauthors think that Guagndong silk inheritance and innovation is indispensable to strengthenindustry standard, maintain and expand its own characteristics, input the design and developmentand develop the benign operation mechanism of the consumer market and so on. Finally, thearticle summarizes the technological processes, understands the Guangdong silk and thedevelopment of the industry operating conditions. Through the experimental study method, thispaper for the inheritance of Guangdong silk did experimental research on the technologyinnovation. This paper research on the changes of Guangdong silk when people wear it,demonstrate the folk saying that Guangdong silk is the longer the more valuable. In order to findthe best use of the state of the fabric, to better exploit its intrinsic value and to provide thereference of the storage time of Guangdong silk.
