Pudong Iron&Steel Company Relocation project is an important construction project that coordinates with the construction of Shanghai World Expo, self-innovation of Baosteel and implementation of the new round of development strategy. The whole project implements one-step planning put into practice in several steps. The construction featuring short construction period, multiple projects and advanced technologies.Therefore, analyzing the scheduling and management of Pudong Iron&Steel company, Relocation Project is meaningful for the guidance of construction management for large projects of the developers in future. This article mainly researches:(1) Current research situation analysis and related research theory summary. This article first analyzes the current situation of developers’ project management scheduling and controlling in and outside the country; describes fundamental theories of construction project scheduling and controlling.(2) The analysis of the current situation of project management scheduling and controlling for the developer of Pudong iron&steel company relocation project. Starting with construction project scheduling and controlling theories, through analysis of the overall situation, the focuses and difficulties of the project, to find out the situation and problems with the scheduling and controlling.(3) In combination with the practice of the scheduling management of the developer of the project, deeply research the detailed application of the scheduling and controlling theories on the Luojing project, formulate the implementation plan of the project management scheduling and controlling for the developer of the Lojing project.This essay depicts the basic theories and development reality of construction scheduling, planning and controlling management. From the development history of project management theory, construction project management theory and technique stem from construction management of developers but spread by subcontractors, designers and suppliers. Currently, the analysis of construction project management seldom involves project management of developers. This essay combines theory with practice and incorporate the implantation of project management for Luojing Project developer, to analyze the practices in construction scheduling and control from six respects including preliminary scheduling, inviting bidding scheduling, construction scheduling, developer supplying material management, machine supplying scheduling and coordination of project scheduling, and provide useful experience from construction scheduling in Baosteel’s projects. The conclusion and inspiration from this essay is valuable reference for large project scheduling and control management of the developers.
