The cleaning agent for printing ink which is extensively used in the essential procedure of printing process can bring markedly economic and social benefits. The organic solvent has been used extensively in conventional cleaning due to its high efficiency and low cost. However, the organic solvent possesses a heavy pollution and high toxicity to the environment. Therefore, this research aims to study two kinds of environmental printing ink cleaner, which might replace oil with water to make them safe to the environment and have a high price-quality ratio.On the basis of the HLB value theory, surface tension and solvency, Surfactant and organic solvent are selected for cleaning the oil on the printing machines. A series of multi-components surfactant such as F, A-3and organic solvent (oieic acid, isopropanol, kerosene of200and diethyl carbitol) are screened out using orthogonal experiment. The result suggests that high cleanout ability was brought by using multi-component surfactant and solvent due to their synergistic effects.The properties of O/W and water kind cleaning agent for printing ink prepared in this study have been proved, which are confirmed to the national standard.After series of experiments, optimal parameters have been obtained as follows for O/W kind cleaning agent:3%oieic acid,10%isopropanol,25%kerosene of200#,15%diethyl carbitol,2.5%surfactant F,2.5%A-3,0.5%sodium silicate,0.5%EDTA-4Na,1%benzotriazole, sodium benzoate, sodium gluconate and urea, respectively, and0.5%essence. Besides, the optimal parameters for water kind cleaning agent are as follows:8%surfactant F,2%A-1,1%A-3was, and,1%triethanolamine,1%PAA,1%sodium gluconate,1%benzotriazole,1%sodium benzoate,1%urea and2%sodium chloride. The detecting results showed that the final products not only have excellent performances in dissolution, emulsification, dispersion and scrubbing, but also have a high significance in application.
