| Nowadays plastics and synthetic fiber are widely used in many areas such as aero-nautics and astronautics,military,transportation.Owing to the excellent insulativity and high resistivity of plastics and synthetics fiber,the static charge will generate easily which limit the application of plastics and synthetics fiber. In order to solve these problems,DMDAAC-HEA copolymer,DMDAAC-St copolymer and DMDAAC-HEA-St copolymer were prepared in this paper.The structure of these copolymers was characterized by FT-IR.The thermostability were measured by TGA.Then we added the copolymer into ABS resin to prepare antistatic ABS, and researched the influence of monomer mass ratio,addition way of monomer,content of copolymer,storage time and relative humidity on the antistatic ability. We also tested the washing performance and mechanical properties of antistatic ABS.(1)The thermal decomposition temperature of DMDAAC-HEA copolymer is245℃,it won’t be decomposed during the processing of antistatic ABS.The antistatic ability of ABS is excellent,the surface resistivity reach1×108Ω when the content of copolymer is1%.But the antistatic ability of the antistatic ABS resin is temporary because of the poor compatibility between DMDAAC-HEA copolymer and ABS resin.The surface resistivityincreased rapidly when the antistatic ABS was washed200times.The copolymer has a serious effect on the mechanical properties of ABS resin,and the mechanical properties decrease above30%.(2)DMDAAC-St copolymer has a preferable compatibility with the ABS resin which has less effect on the mechanical properties of ABS resin.The antistatic ABS has a permanent antistatic ability. When the antistatic ABS was washed200times,the surface resistivity of the ABS increased less.But DMDAAC-St copolymer has a low thermal decomposition temperature with the temperature is205℃.The surface resistivity of the antistatic ABS is above1×1010Q when the copolymeris added,so the antistatic ABS has a poor antistatic ability.(3)DMDAAC-HEA-St copolymer has both appropriate compatibility with ABS resin and better antistatic ability.The thermal decomposition temperature of the copolymer is225℃.When the content of the copolymer is1.5%,the antistatic ABS has a permanent antistatic ability with the surface resistivity below1x1010Ω.The antistatic ABS is washable and mechanical properties of the ABS decrease less.Comparing the three kinds of copolymer,DMDAAC-HEA-St is the best antistatic agent of all with the excellent comprehensive performance. |
