Research On The Constraint Conditions And Strategic Countermeasures Of The Construction Of Shanghai International Trade Center

Shanghai has acted as the trade center and economic center in China's economic system. Since the implementation of the Reform and Opening-up Policy, Shanghai has gradually become China's window of opening up to the outside world. After the 1990s, Shanghai began to develop to be an international trade center. Based on this background and aiming at solving the problems existing in Shanghai's international trade center construction, this paper has done a research on a comparison between Shanghai's and Hong Kong's practical experience of international trade center construction in the same period, what are Shanghai's advantages and disadvantages, generalizes the constraint conditions and with the background of the impact of financial crisis and Shanghai's four center construction, this paper has proposed some strategic measures in Shanghai's international trade center construction.The construction of Shanghai international trade center is an complicated task and it requires a lot of research relating to trade, finance, service industry and many other aspects. The following research work has done in this paper:1. Investigating the background and the important significance of the construction of Shanghai international trade center, reviewing the existing results about Shanghai international trade center construction, analyzing the status of the current study and providing the researching methods.2. Confirming to the actual situation, using and improving the existing theoretical model, index and analyzing methods, compared to the construction of Hong Kong's international trade center over the same period, realizing the advantages and disadvantages of the construction of Shanghai international trade center, furthermore, analyzing the influence on improving the city competitiveness and strengthening its position in the global trade division.3. Building a theoretical framework diagram to research Shanghai international trade center construction's dependence on elements, research deeply about the constraint conditions from the aspects such as trade contents, infrastructure, radiating capacity, business environment and so on.4. Aiming at the research on the constraint conditions and combined with the new domestic and international situations, especially Shanghai has not recovered from the financial crisis completely and with the background of"four center construction", proposing some strategic suggestions on how to speed up the construction of Shanghai international trade center.5. Concluding the work in this paper and put forward the possible extension studies in the future.
