Protection And Development Of Tourism Resources In The Cuihua Mountain Geopark, Shaanxi Province

Protection and development of tourism resources in geoparks is an important issue in the field of resource development. Previous relevant research results have been thoroughly collected and systematically sorted out in this paper. Field investigation, classification and evaluation have been carried out on the tourism resources in the Cuihua Mountain Geopark. Based on the data of the field investigation, classification and evaluation, current situation and main problems have been analyzed in the protection and development of its tourism resources, and some policy suggestion and specific measures have been proposed for further protection and development of its tourism resources.The Cuihua Mountain Geopark owns its unique features of tourism resources in geology, ecology and culture. Inside the geopark, the collapsed land form is well protected and has complete structure and patterns. The traces on rocks such as striations and polished surface caused by the breakdown are very clear. The strange rocks, caves, lakes, ponds and waterfalls own unique features. The carved stone calligraphy, Taoism remains and folk stories have the profound cultural connotation.There are many problems in the protection and development of the tourism resources in the Cuihua Geopark. Geological tourism components in the geopark don't stand out. Some geological remains with the geological connotations and visual values are not fully developed and exploited. The environment of popularization of science is not good, and the commentary system is not perfected. The security measures are not in place, and some unsafe factors exist.The evaluation results of the tourism resources in the Cuihua Mountain Geopark indicate that soil impact index, reducing rate of vegetation coverage, variation rate of vegetation, vegetation impact index and reducing rate of the population of animals are the major factors to influence ecological environment bearing capacity.The measures having to be taken in order to protect and develop the tourism resources in the Cuihua Mountain Geopark include: a. paying much attention to the protection of geological remains resources, b. increasing competition power of the geopark, c. perfecting its management system and group, and d. realizing sustainable development of its tourism resources.
