As China has opened the door to the world, logistics industry has been developing greatly over the past more than 20 years. Express is the most profitable section of the logistics industry. The 4 biggest logistics company has taken most of the market share in global market. Now each company is seeking for the way of expansion in China, and working proactively to win more opportunity in China.The domestics market is an attracting cake with more potential. We have experienced five waves of M&A in the world, now the M&A has influenced greatly on the development of China Logistics industry. M&A is one of the most efficient ways to expand and get the resource to be competitive. DHL is well-prepared to start its China strategy and expand by M&A.Chapter 1 is briefing on the background of the study and the intention, also inducing the way of study. Chapter 2 is the study on the China strategy of DHL by analyzing the global market and the China domestic market. Chapter 3 is about the motive of conducting merger in China, the program of investigation before M&A and advantages of leading an successful M&A. Chapter 4 focus on executing of merger, how to establish a well-organized project team. Chapter 5 is working on the integrating program after the merger done. Chapter 6 is reviewing and evaluating of the merger and what we can study from this case.
