Research On Container Transportation For Bulk Coke In Tianjin Port

Due to tension form the bulk cargo ship and the lure form low price of the container, some businesses have a try to reduce the logistics cost and some experts also make analysis, comparison and study. However, large-scale transport bulk soybean by containers does not gain ground because once using the container, a business has to make a deep study and practice to deal with such as how to load and unload the container etc., those problems.This paper is composed of six chapters:In the first chapter it briefly introduces the chosen topic's background, present reach at home and abroad and content and method for this study; The second chapter analyzes development situation container transportation at home and abroad and coke container transportation situation by SWOT method, and conclude the advantage and disadvantage for bulk container transportation and its chance and challenge; In the third chapter, it compares the cost of the bulk transportation with that of container transportation for transportation cost; In the fourth chapter, it assesses the feasibility of coke bulk container transportation through analytic hierarchy process and construction of feasibility assessment model; The fifth chapter it proposes domestic oils &grains enterprises to use container transport method to import bulk scoke; In the last, it summarizes this paper's achievement and limitations.In this paper, the studies suggest that soybean enterprises, should be based on the their own characteristics, compared to different prices of international maritime transport market in different periods, work out a transport ways applicable to the enterprise and strive to reduce the cost of import to improve competition of China coke enterprises in the international market.
