Since the 21st century, the Socio-economic environment has undergone tremendous changes, and the human industrial activities develop quickly, from traditional industries to high-tech industries. Meanwhile, although the living standards of humanity has greatly improved, energy and resources have been consumed excessively and relatively extend some negative impacts, such as bringing about large quantities of waste, consuming large quantities of natural resources, global warming and many other environmental problems. In addition, in the current wave of globalization, from raw material purchasing, production to marketing, the internal management and marketing models of the manufacturing enterprises are more and more consistent, The physical products presented at the client's, from the morphological appearance to functional structures, present more convergence. The manufacturing enterprises get stuck into the mire of cost reduction, and in such increasing competitive market environment, they have to thinking about where the future competitive advantage lies in.In recent years, some multinational companies such as HP and IBM tend to establish a kind of new business model in order to address the above-mentioned environmental problems. The meaning of the product is gradually upgraded from the simple ownership of the tangible product to service instead of product. They focus on providing the function of the product to meet the consumers'demand and reducing the total production of products to promote environmentally-friendly product design. By re-using and re-manufacturing the product and raw materials or components, they effectively improve the efficiency of using resources, reduce the consumption of resources and the generation of waste, extend the value chain of the enterprises and realize differentiated competitive advantage and value enhancement, such kind of model is known as the Product Service System (PSS).Presently, most enterprises of China are not yet clear about Product Service System and lack systematic understanding of how to implement PSS and problems during the process of the PSS implement may be encountered.In this paper, by researching on the mechanism, implementation model, system building and path of Product Services System of the manufacturing enterprises, previous research results are systematically integrated, three feasible models are proposed, they are respectively product extension service model,product function service model and integrated solution model,the overall system architecture and technical system of effective Product Service System consisted of four sub-systems are studied, the steps and realizing path of PSS implementation are proposed, and at last a method, form four focuses, of qualitative assessment of PSS is proposed.
