Research On Coordination Mechanism Of YL Dairy R & D Strategic Alliance

Under the background that the technology is updating acceleratory and becomes increasingly more complex, the competition of dairy industry is also becoming fiercer than ever. So the enterprises of dairy industry have to closely follow the trend of technology development, in the same time firmly improve the technological development capacity and efficiency of operation so as to gain competitive advantages. On the condition of their limited research and development capacity, YL Dairy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "YL Dairy") must take the choice of setting up the R&D strategic alliances. YL Dairy has established its own post-doctoral workstations according to its strengthen industry foundations and corporative relationship with several universities and relevant research institutes. The products developed by YL post-doctoral workstations have been commonly acknowledged by the sales market, which have brought in significant technical guarantee for the development of enterprise strategy plan. Thus they integrate coordination mechanism with practices of YL Dairy R&D strategic alliance, then recommend the related feasibility proposals for the management issues of YL Dairy R&D alliance, and finally quantitatively estimate the impact that the coordination mechanism have on the YL Dairy R&D strategic alliance. These not only occupy an important position on consummating management system and cultivating high-level development talents but also play a decisive role on raising the development capacity of YL Dairy.Based on the analysis of domestic and foreign research literature, first of all, the dissertation elaborates R&D strategic alliance and coordination mechanism contents and points out the issues as follows: insufficient coordination of government policies, inharmonious trustful mechanism, inadequate interest coordination policies and unreasonable allocation of the funds for the coordination mechanism. Then, the coordination mechanism is built, and it can be divided into three levels, namely top-down strategic coordination, coordination of the interests and operational coordination, also accounting for the content description of each level.This dissertation analyses the coordination mechanism from three levels respectively against the key factors, which was accompanied with the processing of the coordination mechanism in the YL Dairy R&D alliance. While dairy industry alliances conduct the strategic coordination mechanism, it needs to make the two factors - management conception and choice of incoming staff– to reach strategic coordination. It needs to take the two factors–material price and cooperation contract– to obtain interest of coordination. And it needs to leave the two factors - information share and procedure cooperation– to get operation coordination. Finally, this dissertation combines the key factors of coordination mechanism conducted in the enterprise R&D alliances. Using combing methods of hierarchy analysis and the fuzzy evaluating, the dissertation builds YL Index System and examines coordination mechanisms performance in the operation of YL Dairy R&D strategic alliance. The result of the analysis and computation shows that the comprehensive performance scores of R&D strategic alliance coordination, coordination of the interests and operational coordination are respectively as 68.9, 71.5 and 64.6, which are between the norm and excellent. Alliances coordination mechanism finally can be perfected by a series of measures, which include enhancing the coordination with government, raising the level of enterprise culture construction with alliances, improving of the systematic platform for the interest and demands, ensuring the allocation of the funds more reasonable.
