Sustainable Development Of Guangdong Province, The Choice Of Leading Industry

March 2006, "National Economic and Social Development Five-Year Plan" made it clear that China's future development must be sustainable development of science.To achieve this strategic goal,the choice of leading industry of sustainable development is critical,socialproven:the priority development of leading industries will promote rapid progress in aregion,as an industry leader in power,is led to a full development of the source regionpower. Sustainable development in the comprehensive study of social and environmental indicators into the leading industry in the post, to ensure the development of leading industries of science and sustainability, so that it can better promote the economic, environmental, and social development.At present our country, especially local government, are faced with economic growth, economic development and upgrading of industrial structure transformation of multiple goals,in the fomulation of economic development planning and implementation process,the choice of what kind of leading industry is particularly important.The current international economic environment of the complexity of the irrationality of China's industrial structure, regional economic development imbalances and disharmony, and the unity of leading industries index also makes them a challenging choice.So, how to choose the appropriate place to achieve leading industry's rapid economic development, is currently all over the country the most important issue facing local governments.The paper takes Guangdong Province as a study case, basing on the theory of choice of leading industry; it combined the sustainable developing theory and built a system of evaluating indexes to the industry taking economy, society and environment in to comprehensive consideration. Also based on the analytic hierarchy process model of constructed to choose leading industry, it used related data of social and economic development in Guangdong Province, via analysis, to rank the main industries in Guangzhou under sustainable conditions, and find out the shortcomings from the analysis with the model. In the end, combining the popular topic in the current economic developing situation, it brought up some certain measurements and solutions to analyze the leading industry in Guangdong province in the background of low carbon economic transforming context, so as to better maintain and enhance the regional advantage and leading effect of Guangzhou's economy in the national dimension.
