The Choice Of Leading Industries And The Empirical Research From The Perspective Of Sustainable Development

The perspective of sustainable development is a scientific view which regards the people as the basis and emphasizes the overall development of the economy, society and human beings. Guided by the perspective of sustainable development, the regional economy has to achieve the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure, in order to realize the healthy and rapid development. Here, the reasonable choice of leading industries is the most significant mode. Based on the theory of the sustainable development, the thesis establishes the choosing model of leading industries and carries out an empirical analysis of the choice of leading industries in Anhui province.The thesis summarizes the theoretical achievements of the existing leading industries and points out the choosing theory of existing leading industries mainly proceed from the consideration of economic factors, neglecting social and environmental factors. Therefore, it does not accord with the perspective of sustainable development. Then, the paper expounds the theory of sustainable development and puts forward its new demands for the choice of leading industries, revealing its new connotation. The theory of sustainable development has been quantified as the choosing index of leading industries, reflecting requirements of the following three areas: economic development, social development and environmental protection. Moreover, on the basis of AHP, the thesis establishes the choosing model of leading industries from the perspective of sustainable development.By using the choosing model of leading industries from the perspective of sustainable development, the thesis carries out an empirical analysis of the current situation of industrial development in Anhui province and chooses the following five leading industries: the manufacturing of general and special equipments, the chemical industry, the accommodation and catering industry, the exploitation of coal, oil and natural gas, the manufacturing of transportation equipments. Finally, taking the manufacturing of general and special equipments in Anhui province as an example and on the basis of DEA, the thesis carries out an analysis of the scale benefit of 38 key enterprises within the field. According to the operation results, the paper gives suggestions on the development of leading industries in Anhui province from the angle of key enterprises' development.
