City Competitive Power Case-Analysis Of Wuhua District

2010-2015 is not only the second five-year plan for Kunming city building the well-off society in all-round way and achieving leapfrog development and urban modernization, but also the key period for Wuhua district enriching people well as strengthening the economy, and pushing it's modernization process much more fast. With the implementation of strategies for building the modern new Kunming, developing city group of central Yunnan and becoming the strong province with green economy, the strong province with ethnic culture and the bridge tower of china opening to southwest area, Wuhua district now faces both the development opportunities and severe challenges.Thirty years of reform and opening-up in China made central districts of city experience the most severe competition and the fastest development. At the new economic age, the central districts have gained their particular experience during the development while as they going through the similar road. This thesis picked several central districts from the whole country, like Jiangning district of Nanjing in east, Kaifu district of Changsha in the middle, Yanta district of Xi'an in northwest, Jingjiang district of Chengdu in southwest, Qingxiu district of Nanning and the other main districts of Kunming, and compared with Wuhua district by competition analysis models to estimate its urban competition ability. By comparing with other central districts at different developing stage, we can find out the advantages and disadvantages during Wuhua's development, and take efficient measures to improve its urban competition ability.By discussing the general competition assessment system of central districts, making out regional characteristics, this thesis analyses the general competition ability of Wuhua with its developing gap and advantages, by which can provide supports for its social and economic development of next twelfth five-year plan, improve its corn competition ability, and lead the way to achieve its development goal of becoming the modern central district as soon as possible.
