Research On The International Competitiveness Of A City In The Network Economy

Different from the traditional economy, the emergence of network economy is changing the original conditions of competition between cities to promote the emergence of new urban model of economic development, which also has a significant impact to allocation of resources, industrial structure, capital market and development costs of cities. Therefore, International competitiveness of the city in the network economy has new contents, and It provided new opportunities for a city to raise its international competence in this network economy, compared to in the traditional economy. It's therefore tremendously important to study the International competitiveness of a city in this context.By studying a lot of the literature, we find out that research of international competitiveness of the city in the network economy is still relatively little conducted by scholars at home and abroad, and systematic research on the influencing factors is much less. Based on the new understanding of the urban economy in the network economy and the shortcomings of the current academic research on the city's international competitiveness, this article illustrates the essence, basic characteristics and main factors of the international competitiveness of the city in the internet economy, and constructs the evaluation index system of it. Then, using structural equation modeling approach to construct an impact factor model of international competitiveness of the city based on the network economy, and tests the relationship between factors and their impact on international competitiveness of cities in the qualitative-quantitative analysis methods. Furthermore, by a case study on e-commerce capital of Hangzhou, we verify the applicability and credibility of the results of the e structural equation model on previous network-based international competitiveness of the city. This study may not only help to understand the theory of international competitiveness of the city in the network economy, but also help to build a more complete factor model on international competitiveness of the city.Finally, we draw that the international competitiveness of the city in the network economy is affected by the four factors, in terms of the level of urban opening up, the level of urban information, the level of urban innovation and R&D, the level of urban ecological environment, which is different from the traditional economy. And there is a positive relationship between each factor and the international competitiveness of the city. The level of urban opening up in the network economy is affected by the level of urban information, the level of urban innovation and R&D and the level of urban ecological environment. There is also a positive relationship between the level of urban innovation and R&D and the level of urban ecological environment. The article also aims at the theoretical and mathematical analysis methods to make some innovation, which is a meaningful exploration.
