With the rapid development and extensive application, Automatic Storage & Retrieval System (AS/RS) has become an important part of modern logistics industry, and the using of AS/RS can bring huge social and economic benefits. AS/RS works as connection junction in the modern logistics system, on the one hand, the quality of dispatching system of AS/RS will directly affect the operating efficiency of the warehouse; on the other hand, it also relates to the coherence and rationality of the whole logistics system. Therefore, launching research on dispatching system has an important theoretical and practical value.In this paper, after a deep investigation of one sample warehouse, some research has been done about the optimal dispatching as follows:Firstly, take the three basic functions of the AS/RS:input, output and store as starting points to design dispatch policies, and optimize the unreasonable planning; then using the parallel computing technology to design optimizing the dispatch algorithm of product sacking crane, the output rail guided vehicle (RGV), the conveying line to truck loading these five aspects, and taking the availability of RGV and RGB as the objective function to build up the operating prototype of the input shuttle RGV, aisle RGB and output shuttle RGV, and applying a combination method of phased approach and multiple optimization dispatch algorithm to optimize dispatch program and improve the utilization rate of the logistics system. Finally, through simulate the coordination of the five aspects of the logistics operation to test the feasibility of the algorithm. And through a static calculation,the carrying capacity of all sectors of warehousing can be got, and then making improvements on which cannot satisfy the logistics capability to secure the efficient and stable operation of the AS/RS logistics system.This paper investigates the irrational aspects of a warehouse and analyzes logistics bottlenecks, coordinates a number of links which constrains with each other and establishes the balanced all system dispatching strategy. It breaks the traditional optimization for a single link range, making an all-scale optimization and improvement on AS/RS logistics system, increasing the input and output capacity and optimizing the storage management. Finally, as for the warehouse information management system, this paper draws on the experiences of the advanced international logistics management concept, and applies the currently popular J2EE as development platform and SQL Server as the database management system, to design a warehouse monitoring and dispatching system, in which the optimization strategies are applied, realizing the process from research to application.
