The quality and safety of vegetables is related to not only people's health and lives but also economic development and social stability. With China's accession to WTO and the improvement of people's living standards, people on quality and safety requirements of vegetables are getting higher and higher Chinese Party Central Committee and State Council always pay more attention to protecting people's health and safety, attach great importance to quality and safety of vegetables and put comprehensively improving the quality and safety of vegetables as an overall strategic task. Only by highlighting the quality and safety work of vegetables, we can meet the needs of urban and rural residents, break down foreign technical barriers, enhance the competitiveness of vegetable market, promote the industrializing adjustment of agriculture, improve overall economic efficiency of agriculture, better agricultural ecological environment and advance the sustainable development of agriculture. It becomes important for realizing agricultural efficiency and rural incomes and enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural products.The first part of the thesis introduces the quality and safety situation of vegetables at home and abroad and makes a systematic analysis on the features and trends of the current situation, in order to strengthen the quality and safety measures of Shouguang vegetables.The second part of the thesis summarizes Shouguang vegetable industry development status and characteristics of vegetable quality and safety situation, and further anal analyses achievements of Shouguang vegetable quality aspects, some major experiences and some problems of quality and safety aspects.The third part of the thesis mainly analyses some existing problems of Shouguang vegetable quality and safety and explores the deep-seated problems and causes.Finally the thesis proposes to strengthen Shouguang vegetable quality and safety countermeasures and developing directions. To further enhance Shouguang vegetable quality and safety, we need to build the vegetable quality and safety system to promote green products production. People should raise the awareness of vegetable quality and safety, perfect the inspection system, and then reinforce the monitoring system. We should actively build the technical supporting system of vegetable quality and safety To establish the vegetable market access and coding management, we should take the leading retroactive implementation system in all major supermarkets and formulate and improve vegetable quality and safety laws and regulations and accelerate the food safety credit information system. Then with the help of agricultural standardization demonstration bases, we try to promote the industrialization of agriculture operations.
