The Evaluation Of International Competitiveness Of China's Petroleum Enterprises

Oil industry is the fundamental, strategic pillar industry for a nation, and it has strategic significance for promoting national economic development, maintaining social stability, ensuring national security and improving the comprehensive competitiveness of the country. With the development of economic globalization, especially after China's access to the WTO, many domestic industries and enterprises are facing increasingly tough international competition challenges in acceleration of international competition and internationalization. Petroleum enterprises need to play a key role in carrying out large national companies and large groups, striving to develop into an internationally competitive large-scale multinational group.Compared with foreign companies, there still exist a gap between China's major petroleum enterprises and the foreign companies in the fields such as firm size, innovation ability, profit ability and development capacity. Comparative study is carried on the international competitiveness of petroleum enterprises and the gap between China's first-class enterprises with foreign petroleum enterprises. Besides, the main factors which constrain the international competitiveness are identified for China's petroleum enterprises. Reasonable countermeasures and suggestions are also presented in this study. It has important theoretical and practical significance in enhancing international competitiveness of China's petroleum enterprises.This paper firstly summarizes the development status petroleum enterprises both at home and abroad and analyzes the competitiveness characteristics of these companies. The international competition situation that China's petroleum enterprises facing is also analyzed, Then macroeconomic environment and the international competition are studied from the overall point of view. Secondly, the main factors that influence the international competitiveness of china's oil industries are illustrated and comprehensive and rational evaluation index according to the principle of evaluation index are selected. Thirdly, standard fuzzy matter-element and squares deviation fuzzy matter-element are established based on fuzzy matter-element theory, and the weight of evaluation index is then determined. The Fuzzy matter-element model of international competitiveness of petroleum enterprises is built and applied to China's petroleum enterprises. According to the results of calculation, the competitive level is carried out and ranked in the world. Finally, based on analysis and evaluation, the deficiencies of the international competitiveness are identified and the countermeasure suggestions for decision makers are brought out.In order to improve the international competitiveness of China's petroleum enterprises, the international competitiveness level of China's petroleum enterprises is obtained through the model of evaluation index system. Therefore, it will be a theoretical and practical guide for petroleum enterprises in China, and it will be also a reference for relative industries.
