As the problem of resources shortage and environmental degradation increasing, sustainable development and resources conservation has become the theme of the times, the considerable economic and social benefits from recycling the deserted wood has been concerned by the government and society. EU countries and Germany, Japan, It-aly and other countries has taken the recovering job and set up their own reverse logis-tics system as early as 90's, but no complete reverse logistics system of the deserted wood has been established in our country yet. As the largest production and consuming country of wood products, facing with the dwindling timber resources and the increas-ing number of deserted wood resources, it is extremely urgent to build one reverse logistics system of deserted wood which adapts to the situation of our country.Based on the above background, this thesis studied the deserted wood deeply in the point of reverse logistics and build a reasonable reverse logistics network, which can realize the timber resources recycling and reusing efficiently and can decrease the gap between supply and demand of timber resources, and can promote improving the reverse logistics system of deserted wood gradually and developing the reverse logis-tics industry of deserted wood healthy and orderly. This researching subject has pro-vided valuable experience for the enterprise implementing the reverse logistics of de-serted wood, and has very important theory and realistic value.At first, this thesis summarize the reverse logistics and its related theory, which lays a theoretical foundation for later reverse logistics network; Second, Through researching the development state of reverse logistics of deserted wood in our country and developed countries, find out the factors casued backwardness and the necessary to build a reverse logistics network, and then construct a reverse logistics network of de-serted wood which integrates forward logistics and reverse logistics; Considering the uncertainty of the recovery process, Stochastic programming theory is applied to the model and the 3 stage mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model is set up according to the minimum objective function for the network construction costs and operating expenses; We build a model in the case according to the recovery of deserted wood in one region, then use Lingo9.0 software to solve this model, the calculation results can verify the effectiveness of the model,and also can help the government and enterprises of this region to analyse and make decision in building the reverse logistics network about the scale of construction and investment costs.
