Now our country is in the key period of economic development, yet the socialist market economic system has not been fully established, and the relationship between the government and the market is in further adjustment. In this historical moment, a careful study on the pros and cons of experiences of advanced countries is indispensable to our economic and social development. The reason we choose Japan to compare with among all the countries is, partly for the closely linked relationship and the long history between the two countries and, that in a long-period communication the two countries have got much peculiar similarity in economic structure; On the other hand it is because the two countries are all Asian countries. To begin with,China is one of the largest developing countries in Asia, in addition Japan is the only the developed country in Asia, further more the manner of the two countries and force they act in the development of east Asian economic cooperation are crucial. Many studies have proved that system study is the one of the most important factors that leads the developed countries to be the top in economy. The achievement that the reform of China had gained at present also is the result of carrying out study from the experience of countries in the world success and failure to a great extent. Successful system study is based on its own actual situation to introduce, modify and copy of the foreign system, indiscriminately imitate little can the success totally. Rise in respective specific national conditions in the market economy source of China and Japan, and the difference of two countries'microcosmic directly determines the gradual progress to two countries' economic structure. The research method of the new comparative economics is used to the comparative analysis of two countries' economic structure. This thesis is divided into six parts. The first chapter is introduction; it is to introduce the background and research of the selected topic, as well as the significance of the research about the economic structure of China and Japan, and the thread and the basic framework of this thesis. The second chapter introduces the basic knowledge of the economic structure, so in the basic theory part it presents us with the introduction of the definition and functions of the economic structure, which enable us to know the economic structure basically; it establishes the theoretical foundation for the fifth chapter of comparative analysis. In the following chapter 3 and 4 it also illustrates a brief summary of the formation of the Chinese and Japanese financial system and basic characteristics. Let us take a glimpse of the individual characteristics of the two countries in the economic structure of their own in the specific historical environment. In chapter 3 it points out that the flaw in existing economic structure is in order to let us benefit from the Japanese system and correct our economic structure; In the fourth chapter I explained the problems that has existed in Japan' economic structure since the 1990s,during which the economy of Japan fell from glory. One major element of why the Japanese economy changed is that the Japanese economy no longer adapts to the domestic and international economic and political environment, which sets an example for our economic reform. In the most important chapter 5,I applied the method of Comparative Economics, and mainly gave a comparative analysis of the formation of economic structure, changes in fiscal monetary policy during the period of rapid growth, modern enterprise system, and social security system for the economic structure of the two countries. The sixth chapter discusses comparing the economic structure of the two countries has important lessons and experience for our economic system reform and innovation. This may be the innovation in analyzing the state of the so-called "lost decade" of Japan in home and abroad and the deficiencies of the economic system. It points out the direction for our reform of the economic structure and prevents from going of the Japanese mistakes. Its deficiencies are no definition in a part of the use of data.By comparison what I realized was:firstly, viewing from the evolution process of Japanese economy, the market mechanism is the one of the most powerful momentums for the economic development; secondly, there is no eternal efficiency of economic system, and there is a close relation between any economic structure and its role in both macroscopic and microcosmic economic environment. Thirdly, to achieve the goal of economic development, the government must choose the right economic policies to prevent the market mechanism. Fourthly, not only should we learn from the distinctions in the two nation's system, but also seek inspiration from their same features found in the reform. Lastly, learn from the world market economy mode so we can build a favorable economic structure. After a comparative analysis, take example by Japan's economic development process of success and failure, and make some good suggestions on the reform of the economic system, to avoid the economic bubble in China.
