Baiyangdian is the largest wetland in north China. Baiyangdian plays an important role in many aspects such as flood control,climate regulation,biodiversity protection, water storage,fish and reed production and maintaining ecological balance of north China etc. However in recent years, due to natural factors and human activitiy, there are many ecological and environmental problems such as the wetland frequently drying up, water pollution, biodiversity decreased, lakes shrinking, wetland functions degradation etc. All these problems indicate that the ecological environment problem of Baiyangdian is not simply natural environmental issues, construction issues or social development issues, but it is the coordination problem of water resources-ecology-socioeconomic system of Baiyangdian Wetland that integrated these issues together.And it involving to the natural, economic, social and other aspects.However, current researches are limited to one aspect.Water resources, ecological, social and economic were not synthetically considered.That is unfavorable to integrated management of Baiyangdian Wetland.Therefore, from the systematically point of view,this paper analyzed the water resources, ecological, social and economic of Baiyangdian Wetland and made health assessment.The research of this paper include the following aspects:(1) Building up the system model of water resources-ecology-socioeconomic system of Baiyangdian Wetland, including water resources subsystem, ecology subsystem and socio-economic subsystem. According to system theory,define water resources-ecology-socioeconomic system of Baiyangdian Wetland. Analyzed the composition, characteristics, status and trend of water resources subsystem, ecology subsystem and socio-economic subsystem. Discussing the system features and structure.(2) Explaining the relationship of different subsystems. The water subsystem is the core of the system, the base of ecology and social production, and determines Baiyangdian Wetland exist or abated. Clarify the reasons for the system development and the significance of maintain the system.(3) According to status of Baiyangdian and the characteristics of the system ,the system health standards are divided into five levels: healthy, sub-health,middle,ill health and disease. Based on the selection principles of assessment indicator,building health assessment indictor system from three aspects :water resources, ecology, socio-economic,including 10 indicators. Assessment system by using attribute recognition theoretical model and AHP method.The results show that water resources-ecology-socioeconomic system of Baiyangdian Wetland is in unhealthy state, the system faces many problems, water resources subsystem was the worst compared to other subsystems. The main restrictive factors are as follows: feeding flow, integrated nutrition state index, species diversity index, population growth rate.(4) Discussing the problems of the system.Based on the states of subsystems and the results of system assessment, according to the objectives of system management,the author put forward a series of management countermeasures to improve each sub-system status, promote system balance and harmony within a whole, enhance the system health level, ensure social and economical sustainable development in this region.(5)Finally,summarized the work and shortage of this paper,and some suggestions for further study were put forward.
