Research On Organization Conflict Coordination Mechanism In Engineering Project

Today, in the process of project construction, more and more conflicts are manifested in various forms, which are objective and inevitable. Project organization is the invisible carrier of project construction, and its organic co-ordination is the key to ensure the efficient operation of the project system. Therefore, it is necessary to study the project's coordination mechanism.This paper summarizes the types of conflicts in the project, and makes the conflict analysis and sort conflict intensity, which are on the basis of the several common project organization forms, puts forwards the models of conflicts game in the engineering project organization, provides a basis for project managements' coordination of conflicts, builds up the conflicts coordination system of project organization.First, this paper summarizes the conflict phenomena in the project on the basis of previous' studies and the conflict analysis about Project Management Knowledge System, and then makes the conflict analysis of the common project organization forms, concludes project organization conflict intensity through a great deal of questionnaire survey and makes corresponding analysis.Second, this paper applies game theory to the building of conflicts game models. According to the three major goals' conflicts, builds the conflicts game model based on the client, supervision engineers and contractors; then, in accordance with the development of the theory of conflict management, the "process conflict" is introduced into the game model of task conflict, relationship conflict and process conflict combined with the special nature of the project, some relative conflict coordination strategies are put forward; classifies task conflict and relationship conflict as constructive conflict, the process conflict as destructive conflict, builds the game model of constructive conflict and destructive conflict between the project manager and project members, and the corresponding conflicts coordination strategies are put forward.Third, this paper builds up the conflicts coordination system of project organization, puts forward the corresponding conflicts coordination strategies. It takes advantage for the project senior managements to coordinate the project's conflicts from a macroscopic perspective, which is in order to avoid the escalation of the conflicts, prevent destructive conflict effectively and reduce cost and waste.Finally, this paper applies the results to a case analysis. Any project would produce conflict inevitably, project managers should give timely coordination of strategies thorough analyzing the root causes of conflicts in the project organization.
