The automobile industry is capital intensive and technology-intensive. With the high added value, relevance, and on the development of economy, it has a profound impact on improving employment, spurring the development of related industries. Through decades of effort, our automotive industry have made considerable development, had been a key component of the national economy. Its overall size and international competitiveness is also increasing. The outbreak of the global economic crisis had a tremendous impact on automobile industry. In this context to take a fresh look at China's automobile industry's international competitiveness is more significance. This article divided auto industry into traditional automobile industry and new energy vehicles industry. Start from analysis, we use a large number of charts and refinement of indicators to compare on traditional automobile industry and the current status of the international competitiveness of an in-depth analysis, concluded that the traditional automobile industry's international competitiveness increased significantly, but the competitive compared with other automotive power remains relatively is weak. I use multiple regression methods established Chinese traditional automobile industry and the international competitiveness the analysis of positive test results. On new energy automobile industry's competitiveness, I use Porter model to analysis, and identify the impact of China's new energy automobile industry and the international competitiveness of key factors. Production factors demand conditions and strategic aspects of weaknesses are more obvious, and the related industry support and Government policy security are advantaged. At last, aiming at the present situation of the automobile industry in China, and basing on the study results, the paper educed some countermeasures for improving the international competitiveness of China's automobile industry.
