Research On Information Sharing Platform Of Supply Chain Based On Web Services

The benefit of Supply chain management is based on the coordination of members, which depends on the information sharing. Therefore, only if the corporations in the supply chain share all the information of management, they can manage and allocate resources effectively. To build such a platform is the basis and precondition of achieving the information sharing. Then how to build it? Compared with CORBA, COM/DCOM, and other traditional program, Web Service is better since it is cross-language and cross-platform and loosely coupled. While can we put it into the establishing of information sharing platform? According to the author, Web service technique will be employed in the building of this platform, which is also the main line of the paper.An important application of Web service which can change the mode of development at present in the supply chain management is the information exchanging and system integrating among the corporations. By generalizing the information and business process, Web service can achieve cross-platform, cross-language information sharing no matter what equipment and system is used in the supply chain.First the thesis will introduce the concepts of supply chain and of its management, analyze the information flow of the traditional supply chain and its existing problems, state the model of information sharing within the supply chain. All of these help elaborate the ideas and models of information sharing platforms to be established.Second, through the research on the framework, architecture and related technology of the Web service, the author will offer the technology significant to build the platform. This study will also justify the Web service as a better tool to set up the information sharing platform of the supply chain because of it is under no constraint of language and platforms, highly integrated and scalable.
