Distribution center of fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) has the duty of reducing transportation cost and sales opportunity loss. A highly efficient distribution center is the key to improve FMCG enterprise profit level and create a competitive advantage; it is the guarantee for the survival and development. But compared with distribution center of other types of goods, there are many non-standard aspects and problems in the process of operation.First, this thesis introduces the related concepts of FMCG and distribution center. There are many characteristics in FMCG logistics, such as high frequency and short-term, to make FMCG distribution center to adapt to these characteristics, the optimized needs to be studied. This thesis optimizes FMCG distribution center, and expounds the system characteristic of the FMCG distribution center, gives the borderline of FMCG distribution center system. And the thesis divides the system into three subsystems:the storage subsystem, the sorting subsystem and the transport subsystem, and studies the relationship of the three subsystems. On the basis of analysis status quo of FMCG distribution center, this thesis points out the existing problems and puts forward different optimization. The storage subsystem has the problem of goods classify method, on this subject, the thesis corrects primitive ABC classification with some market demand factors, and puts forward the new goods storage strategy and purchasing strategy; for the sorting subsystem, in the premise of efficiency low-cost, the thesis uses the critical point of cost method to optimize resource allocation of automatic sorting equipment; for the transport subsystem, the thesis combines the delivery route optimization and the return path optimization together, presents a pickup and delivery integrated tactics, models the pickup and delivery vehicle routing problem, and uses tabu search algorithm to solve this problem. This thesis also pays much attention to the combination of theory and practice, makes an empirical analysis on one FMCG distribution center, and puts forward valuable suggestions.
