Along with the rapid development of economic globalization, the survival environment of modern enterprise has experienced great change, especially the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis happened, a lot of enterprise market environment changed, faced with the difficult position of development and bottlenecks, under this circumstance, as long as the enterprise bases on their actual conditions, carries on the strategic adjustment, dynamically industry choice, timely transformation, they can find a growth point of interests and new market share, so as to ensure the sustainable development of the enterprises. It is a key focus of ongoing studies as well as the heart of this thesis that how those medium sized manufacturing enterprise choose the appropriate industry.This thesis takes the medium sized manufacturing enterprise as the research object, and discusses in detail enterprise transformation, expounds the connotation of enterprise strategy and the mechanism of the transformation, the strategic transformation and external cause, the timing of the strategic transformation were studied. Then establishes industry and enterprise competitiveness appeal index system, according tothe influence factors of industry attraction and enterprise competitiveness. on the basis of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, establishes industry choice model,through relevant data calculation, then puts forward some industry options. In the process of discussion, with actual case, tries to stand in the strategic height, in practical terms and combine theory for small and medium-sized enterprise strategic transformation in the industry choose chosen were studied. IN the last chapter of this paper, make the empirical research about the transformation choice of the Chinese both groups strategic industry, and make careful analysis about industry choose in strategic transformation process.Through the study of this thesis, author personally believe that the main purpose of the strategic reconstruction of the enterprises is to pursue more space for the increase of profits, to find new market share so that the enterprises can develop sustainably. The key to the success of the strategic reconstruction of the enterprises is to carefully choose and position themselves in appropriate, potential and highly-profited industries. By introducing industry selective Model, building industry selective quantitative system and analyzing the reconstruction of Lifan Group, I have made a conclusion that when small and medium enterprises reconstruct themselves, they always have problems like blindly entering an industry, getting involved in too many industries, entering an industry in a bad time, not knowing much about a new industry and so on. Therefore, I have put forward some detailed measures and suggestions such as when they reconstruct, they should have a clear targets and goals; they should fully consider the connection between the new industry and their original industry; they should find the perfect timing to enter a new industry and they can strengthen capital by introducing strategic investors.
