As an economic and cultural center of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Economic Circle of Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos City, achieves an economic development by leaps and bounds during National Tenth Five-Year plan and Eleventh Five-Year Plan, playing a leading role in promoting the rapid development of regional economy. Accelerating the development of the economic circle of Hohhot, Baotou and Erdos is an important way to achieve the rise of China's western parts. However, there are the phenomena of irrational industrial structure in the economic circle of Hohhot, Baotou and Erdos, while strategic change in industrial structure must be based on accurate quantitative analysis. From this point of view, this paper analyzes the industrial structure of the economic circle of Hohhot, Baotou and Erdos.Combining the economic development level and conditions of the economic circle of Hohhot, Baotou and Erdos and using of the theory and methods of industrial economics, this paper analyzes problems of the industrial structure of the economic circle of Hohhot, Baotou, Erdos and of their own. This paper finds that the industrial structure of the economic circle of Hohhot, Baotou and Erdos has been "Secondary Tertiary Primary" type during National Tenth Five-Year plan and Eleventh Five-Year Plan, among which the internal structure of the primary industry is unreasonable; secondary industry tends to heavy industry with serious waste of resources; and the tertiary industry is small-scale and at a lower level.Based on these problems the author offers the suggestions of coordinated development of three industries:restructure three industries of the economic circle of Hohhot, Baotou and Erdos; promote economic integration in order to promote the optimization of industrial structure; coordinate the industrial development among the three cities and avoid waste of resources; improve the efficiency of resource using; enhance the comprehensive competitive strength of the economic cycle to make the economic cycle, as the economic growth pole of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, play a greater role in economic growth.
