| In the context of the knowledge economy, high-tech industries have become the main driving force of economic growth in different countries. Bigger and stronger high-tech industry has become strategic focus of economic development in different countries. Since the implementation of "Torch Plan" in 1988, high-tech industry has become an important engine for regional economic development. With great support from the country, regional high-tech industry developed rapidly. Meanwhile,a variety of problems increasingly prominent. Therefore, development of high-tech industry not only has a clear theoretical significance, but also has immediate practical significance.This paper based on the study on domestic and international high-tech industry, regional industry cluster theory, ecological system theory, bring technical niche into the research of high-tech industry development. Four aspects of Chinese regional high-tech industry are researched according to its actual development situation with synthetic method of qualitative and quantitative analysis, the synthetic method of analysis and the comparative analysis. Firstly, the niche perspective of high-tech industry, content and characteristic of the high-tech industry technical niche is defined; Secondly, the mechanism study of high-tech industrial technical niche and modeling, analysis of the meaning of niche modeling, mechanism, established technology multidimensional niche model; Thirdly, the appraisement of high-tech industry technical niche using factor analysis of the environmental suitability and "state" theory as the basis for empirical analysis; Fourthly, technical niche empirical analysis of high-tech industrial, building 3 levels indicator system for the evaluation of environment fitness, survivability, develop force of technical niche of high-tech industry in different regions.Through the results of empirical analysis we find that: the development of high-tech industry technical niche presents non-equilibrium and ladder. Technical niche fitness, viability and development force strongly promote the rapid development of high-tech industries in eastern coastal region; Central and western regions at a disadvantage, the lower technical niche bottlenecks to economic development to some extent is doubled to enlarge. Finally, the countermeasures and suggestions on optimizing the development of high-tech industrial technical niche are put forward in two respects which include technical niche resources dimension and development environment creating. |
