A Study On The International Competitiveness Of Chinese Construction Enterprises

In recent years, Chinese construction enterprises developed rapidly and had a good performance in the international engineering contracting market,and has received worldwide attention. More and more Chinese enterprises entered ENR225,the international revenue increased steadily. But in comparison with the top international contractor, Chinese construction enterprises have a wide gap in size, efficiency, management and other aspects. Particularly, the international engineering contracting projects are gradually to large-scale, technical complexity, functional diversity, the development of integrated contract. It needs Chinese construction enterprises put forward higher requirements. Therefore, this study on how to improve the international competitiveness of Chinese construction enterprises were discussed in detail and will help further understanding of Chinese construction enterprises the international competitiveness of the content, to obtain a competitive advantage, enhance its international status.Firstly, the article analyzed the status of ENR225 contractors and Chinese construction enterprises. There has a gap between Chinese and the world. Secondly, the article analyzed international competitiveness factors by qualitative and quantitative methods. The quantitative method devised an evaluation index system of construction enterprises international competitiveness, determined the weight of the factors of the international competitiveness by AHP method. Finally, the article given some recommendations for Chinese construction enterprises, according to the evaluation system. One innovation of this study is to build evaluation system of international competitiveness to reflect the impact of international competitiveness factors. It's provided a new approach for the international competitiveness of enterprises. Another innovation of this study is designed international competitiveness evaluation index system for Chinese construction enterprises.Through the analysis of international competitiveness, the study is good for Chinese construction enterprises to know the key factor which can improve international competitiveness. The enterprise can optimize resources and cultivate fundamentally for developing long-term competitive advantage.
