XiangXi Ceramic Design And Development Of Tourist Souvenirs

With the economic development of our country, the application of traditional Chinese culture and ethnic folk culture in artistic design has become more and more popular. It is the same as design with Chinese characteristic. The economy has greatly promoted the development of tourism, but tourists shopping and souvenirs have fallen behind. It's worthwhile for us to carry out studies about how to fuse traditional culture and souvenirs based on the local condition so as to improve the level of design in this area or the country. This paper aims to demonstrate the possibility of developing ceramic souvenirs in Xiangxi area with local features as for the regional economic development and tourism development status. Specifically speaking, it discusses the matter from several aspects as follow: Firstly, the present situation of tourism souvenirs and development trend show that there is a great need to develop tourism souvenirs with local characteristics; Secondly, by analyzing a detailed market survey of tourism souvenirs in Xiangxi area, the paper discusses the strong requirement of developing ceramic souvenirs in this area; Thirdly, it also provides some principles of the design in ceramic souvenirs; Fourthly, it puts forward the development strategy of ceramic souvenirs in Xiangxi, mainly from the establishment of awareness in brand, the development of various styles, skills and technology to create high-quality products; Finally, it describes the design strategy of ceramic souvenirs originating from ethnic auspicious patterns, costumes of ethnic minorities, the architectural characteristics of minorities and other characteristics of the color features and accessories in Xiangxi.
