Research On The Breaking Point And Electronic Cloud Model Of Dalian Port Hinterland's Segmentation

With the rapid development of our country's economy, the domestic and international trade activites are increasing, and in the process of the economic growth, as the centre of economic and trade activities, the port's position and effort is strenthening a lot. The planning and construction of the port is a great system engineering, which is important to the existence and the development of the port. And the port's development is not only related to its own conditions, but also related to the economic development of its hinterland. With the economic growth of the port hinterland, the requirement of goods'transportation and services are increasing, which drives the further development of the port directly. Therefore, it's important to find the port hinterland areas accurately, and to identify the direction of the port's orientation and programming.This paper is in such a basis, making the methods of the port hinterland's segmentation as the main content for research, In order to realize the purpose of segmenting the port hinterland areas scientific and reasonable, the paper's aspects of the work have been finished as follows:Firstly, it makes a research of the relationship of the port and the port hinterland, and analyses the influence factors of the port hinterland's segmentation, then puts forward some problems existed in recent hinterland's segmentation; Secondly, it studies the methods of recent hinterland's segmentation, and classifies the methods from different points of view, then analyzes their characteristics and limitations; Thirdly, through the analysis of the existing methods to put forward the breaking point and electronic cloud model, which is built up on the basis of breaking point formula and electronic cloud model, then making appropriate correction and improvement to form the final model, the model has certain practical applications which can be used to find the port hinterland areas. Finally, it uses the breaking point and electronic cloud model to segment the hinterland areas of Dalian Port, by collecting the data and materials of the research hinterland and port, using the model to make quantitative calculation, then gets the results of the hinterland areas of Dalian Port, through the comprehensive analysis of the results to put forward the development planning and suggestions for Dalian Port.
