On The Joint Development Of Fujian Ports And Hinterland

Since Fujian Province proposed the strategic vision of development of The Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone in 2004, and the State Council issued " a number of opinions on the support to Fujian Province to speed up construction of The Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone " in May 2009,proposed should give full play to the Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone in leading the way and exploring new paths for exchanges and cooperation between the two sides,which further highlights the importance of Fujian Province as the leading zone of Taiwan. Port as a gateway to opening to the outside world in Fujian Province,not only is the core of economic development resources, the strategic focus of trade with Taiwan. With the process of regional economic integration is accelerating,the trend of joint development of the port and its hinterland economy continue to be strengthened. therefore, the comprehensive analysis of the relationship between port and hinterland,and analysis and research the ideas of joint development is particularly important.Based on this, starting point from the angel of analyzing the economic relationship between port and hinterland, this article give a comprehensive study and evaluation to the linkage relationship between the Fujian Province ports and hinterland economy. With the Grey Relational model of port and hinterland joint development, Selected the economic indicators which could reflect the port development, analyzed the correlation of the Fujian Province ports and the hinterland, scientific evaluate the joint development of port and the economic of hinterland, Presented the three indicators which had highest correlation between the port throughput: GDP, total value of imports and exports, value added of construction. and on this basis, Discussed the ideas of the joint development of Fujian ports and economic of hinterland,that are by strengthening the construction of the ports, building transportation system to connect within and outside, Optimizing the layout of the port industry, Enhancing Regional Cooperation, promoting the depth docking of industries between the two sides, optimizing the regional clearance environment,which will play an important role in guiding enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of Fujian ports,and promote deep hinterland to achieve contiguous development and common prosperity with the hinterland.
