Analysis On The Influencing Factors Of The Urban And Rural Income Gap In Chongqing

The problem of urban and rural income gap has been a hot spot in the research of economic circle,which has a very adverse effects. either on social or on economic development. From a social perspective, the two polarized income distribution phenomenon make originally very rich people get richer, originally very poor people will increasingly more poor,which will cause social churlish growls.People cannot accept so big income gap at the same social condition,which will cause social unrest, crime rate rising. From the economic perspective, because the income distribution is uneven,urban-rural income gap is too big,urban and rural capital accumulation polarization is serious,which stop the rural economic growth. Agriculture as the state's basic industry can't well supported urban industrialization, which eventually can affect the social economy's rapid development of the whole city.Based on the data of statistical yearbook in chongqing, this paper firstly analyzes the data change trend of the income gap between urban and rural area and embodys the gap change features in different index.from 1985～2009 income gap between urban and rural in chongqing showed a rising trend overall,only in 1993～1998 showed a mild narrowing trend, But at the same time, through compared with the urban-rural income gap between chongqing and the national general level,found its change trend appear to be highly consistency with the nation, just chongqing's urban-rural disparity overall above the national average.This paper is focused on the analysis of the influence factors of urban-rural income gap in chongqing, using stepwise regression method, multivariate linear regression method, vector auto-regressive model and error correction model to make the empirical analysis of the influence factors of the income gap between urban and rural residents,and the empirical analysis indicates that the main influence factors of the urban-rural income gap in chongqing is the fixed assets investment ratio between urban and rural residents,rural financial scale and economic growth. rate.
