Design And Application Of The Index System For Measuring And Evaluating The Urban Informatization Level

In recent years, the tide of informatization is gradually becoming an important symbol all over the world. As the center of the nation in the aspect of economy, politics and culture, modern cities play an important role in the social informatization. The development of the urban informatization is the symbol of the integrative strength and development potential of the city. Informatization building has been to be the inevitable select for great-leap-forward development for many cities. As the national political and cultural center, Beijing has set up efforts to build World City, and to serve as a radiator and power house, which is more necessary for us to research in the every aspect of the urban informatization in Beijing. In recent years, domestic cities have made great progress in urban informatization. The rapid development of the urban informatization makes it in urgent need to strengthen the study on measuring and evaluating the urban informatization level. Only in this way can we supply the objective and scientific basis on urban informatization.The paper firstly introduces the understanding of informatization and urban informatization, then based on the study of international and domestic theory in measuring and evaluating the urban informatization level, in the perspective of sustainable development, we build the evaluation index system for urban informatization.Measuring and analysing the urban informatization on domestic metropolises like Beijing and others, then the paper uses the index system to compare the informatization level of Beijing and some other metropolises, so as to find the problems when engaging in the urban informatization. In the end, we give some suggestions on future urban informatization in Beijing and other domestic metropolises.
