In the recent years, lots of impoverished areas in China had gained many benefits from tourism development, so it is becoming a primary way of poverty elimination. Since 21 century, Pro-poor Tourism has moved into a new stage,it become a important part of "Harmonious Society". Accompany by the PPT development, the research on the effect of Pro-poor Tourism has became more and more popular. Researches began to pay attention to the spatial variation of the effect of PPT. Most of these researches were based on case study. Few are Comprehensive, systematic study, and not yet formed a unified conclusion.This thesis concludes the situation of Chexi area, through investigation. The author make an analysis of the 11 researched villages on the economic effect of Pro-poor Tourism from the aspects of economic growth,possession conditions of production,family income and expenditure; investigates the local residents'perceptive effect of Pro-poor Tourism from the aspects of local village,family,Individual. The effects of Pro-poor Tourism of Chexi scenic area are limited, all the villages are in the general level, except Chexi village. The author make an analysis of the spatial variation characteristics and the reasons, by the methods of Cluster Analysis and Factor Analysis. Then discusses the problem of Chexi tourism development and how to help the poor to utilize effect of tourism.The thesis has got several conclusions:The spatial variation characteristics of the effects of Pro-poor Tourism of Chexi scenic area are this follows:firstly,the effects are not even in special distribution obviously, the Chexi village is the "pole" of effects. secondly, the effects of Pro-poor Tourism on research areas are "distance decay" totally. thirdly, the effects of Pro-poor Tourism on "Yujiaba" village and "Lijiaba" village are more obvious than other villages which are equidistant to the scenic. Fourthly, the results of economic effect evaluation and perceptive effect evaluation are totally consistent, but there are still some differences between them. There some reasons that course the Spatial variation of the effects, the enthusiasm of participation, the residents' feeling that they belong to the scenic area, the political measure, the traffic condition, the topography character. The thesis put strategies to help the poor to utilize effect of tourism, including raising local residents' participation in tourism, founding an proper mechanism of distribution, enforcing the government power in PPT development, improving the PPT mechanism, push forward tourism industrialization, enhancing the construction of protecting environment.
