The Research On HD Company Order Management Issue And Solutions

Following the social and economical development, the simple product competition between companies has been changing to customer competition and seller's market has been changing to buyer's market. Customer needs are becoming key consideration in the business operation and management for most of the companies. The pursuit of order increase is their main battle which obviously highlights the importance of order management, especially facing the more and more diversifying and quick-change of the customers'requests. And it becomes an urge for the company to re-evaluate the order issue and pursue the solutions. In this way, more and more companies start to improve the product competitiveness and customer satisfaction such as scientific and innovative company management such reworking on the order procedures and optimizing the supply chain management.By reviewing the PO process of HD Company and analyzing the reasons of lead-time delay and less customer satisfaction, the study lists the limitations of the PO process of HD Company. Based on the idea of process management and rebuilding and by using the ASME method and IDEF module, it analyzes the existing PO process of HD Company and improves the PO process; finally it comes up with solutions of the best PO process for the company. Meanwhile, it illustrates the supply chain issues-the key element for the PO process operation lead time. By classification and control of the purchase material and best selection of suppliers, the tailored purchase strategy has been proposed for HD Company which improve the purchase lead-time and efficiency which makes the in-time delivery happen. This is important for HD Company to improve the lead time, reduce the customer complaints and develop new customers. Also it could be a reference for other companies on the PO process improvement.
