The study on regional land use change and its driving force, especially regional cultivated land change, which was vital to the survival of mankind. Its dynamic characteristic and driving mechanism is a hot point of global land use and land cover, which have an significant meaning to master the law of land dynamic change and the tendency of regional land use.Based on the theory of land use and land cover of home and aboard and combined with the local condition in Chengbu town, this paper given a full scale of land use condition according to data from 2001 to 2009 and analyzed the driving force of cultivated land change by AHP. This paper gives some suggestions on how to protect cultivated land in the process of urbanization.1. The cultivated land in Chengbu reduced from 16,146.28 hectares in 2001 to 14,974.45 hectares in 2009 year by year, with a net decrease of 1,171.83 hectares. The tendency of decline is dramatic reduction-basically unchanged -Mitigation. The internal structure of cultivated land is paddy filed which decreased rapidly, followed by dry land and irrigated land.2. The relative change rate is different from each other significantly, the max is in Nanshan town 4.6,the min is in Chang'an ying village 0.47.The relative change rate showed relatively extensive investment of resources plays an important role in a high level of socio-economic development of the town's economy, so the relative change rate in this area is high, or vice versa.3.This paper used SPSS 17.0 software and factor analysis method to analyze the driving force of cultivated land change.the results showed that there are three major factors of the cultivated land use change in Chengbu.the first one can be considered as representative factor of social-economy, agricultural mechanization and the urbanization process. the second one can be considered as representative factor of the adjustment of agricultural structure. The third one can be considered as representative factor of nation's policy. On the basis of the factor analysis, we can conclude an equation of the cultivated land change and three major factors by multiple linear regression analysis.
