Research On The Project Management Of The Urban Rail Transit System Construction

The urban rail network system is kind of long period project with huge investment, high complexity. It involved in civil engineering and multiple equipment systems with the complex interface between them. The urban rail construction process involves designers, different equipment suppliers, construction teams and engineering supervisors. Only with the help of the professional management, can the project management truly takes effect, can the investment, construction process and construction quality be controlled effectively. Only all the teams are organized efficiently and scientifically can the investment, process and the quality of the construction be managed and controlled effectively.The author proposed the programmatic and instructive statement about the Project Management in the urban rail network system, based on management experiences and modes in the project of the Tianjin Metro Line 2 and Tianjin Rail Station transit hub. Seeing from the angle of construction side (the owner) and the management company, the author integrated the project management theories into the years'management practice and research experience. This paper also presents the management outline, principles,standards and key points of the large urban rail construction projects in the light of project Management by Objective(MBO), project structure, contract management, process management, investment management, quality management, risk management, communication and information management and project value management, etc.
